Epson L8050 Resetter Guide

Epson L8050 Interactive Reset Guide

Epson L8050 Interactive Guide

A step-by-step tool to safely resolve printer errors.

⚠️ Important Warnings: Please Read Carefully

This interactive guide uses instructions for an **unofficial Adjustment Program** not released by Epson. Using it involves risks.

  • Malware Risk: Be extremely cautious where you download this software. Unofficial sites can bundle it with viruses.
  • Potential Damage: If used incorrectly, this program can cause issues with your printer. Follow the steps precisely.

You are proceeding at your own risk.

Step 1: Diagnose The Problem

First, let's confirm your printer's issue. The L8050 has two common "full" errors. This guide's software can only fix one of them.

"Service Required" Message

The printer's LCD or computer screen shows a "Service Required" message, and the lights may be blinking. This is often a **Waste Ink Pad Counter** issue.

"Maintenance Box Full" Message

The message specifically mentions the **"Maintenance Box"**. This requires a different solution.

Step 2: Preparation

Before running the program, please complete these essential preparations.

1

Download the Software

Search online for "Epson L8050 Adjustment Program". Again, be very careful about the download source to avoid viruses.

2

Connect via USB

Connect your printer directly to your computer with a USB cable. This process may not work over Wi-Fi.

3

Disable Antivirus Temporarily

Antivirus programs can mistakenly block the resetter. Disable yours just before running it, and remember to re-enable it right after.

Step 3: Using the Adjustment Program

Extract the downloaded file and run the application (usually `AdjProg.exe`). Follow the steps below within the program's window.

1. Click "Select".

2. Set Model Name to L8050 and Port to Auto selection. Click OK.

3. Click "Particular adjustment mode".

4. Under the "Maintenance" section, double-click "Waste ink pad counter".

The next screen is where you will perform the reset.

Step 4: Performing the Reset

You should now be in the "Waste Ink Pad Counter" window. This is the final and most important part.

1. Tick the checkbox for "Main pad counter".

2. (Optional) Tick "Platen pad counter" if available.

3. First, click the "Check" button to see the current levels.

4. Finally, click the "Initialize" button to perform the reset.

5. Acknowledge any confirmation pop-ups.

Wait for the program to prompt you. It will tell you when the process is complete and instruct you to turn off the printer.

Step 5: Finishing Up

The counter has been reset. Just a couple more actions to complete the process.

Restart Your Printer

Turn your printer off as instructed by the program. Wait a few seconds, then turn it back on. The error should be gone.

🛡️

Re-enable Your Antivirus

Don't forget this important step to keep your computer secure.

Troubleshooting & Results

Let's see how it went. Choose the outcome below.

Success!

The error is gone and my printer works. Congratulations!

The Error Persists.

This likely means your error is with the physical **Maintenance Box Chip**. The software cannot reset this. You will need a separate, physical "chip resetter" tool designed for the C9345 maintenance box.
